How do you tailor your services to our needs?
We begin every project by understanding your charity’s unique context, goals, and challenges. We adapt our solutions to your organisation, ensuring they align with your mission, resources, and the needs of your beneficiaries and partners.
How long does a typical project take?
The timeline depends on the service and the scope of the project. For example:
- Impact Workshops are typically completed within a month, including preparation and follow-up.
- Impact Toolkits and Dashboards take around three months (or longer, depending on the data you already have).
- Impact Reports and Independent Evaluations take at least 4-6 months, depending on their complexity. We’ll provide a clear timeline in our proposal. We also support longer-term projects over several years – see our client story for the Become PA Learning Programme Evaluation for an example.
How much do your services cost?
Our pricing reflects the adaptive nature of our work, our experience and the value we deliver. We’re transparent about costs from the start, and we’ll work with you to ensure our services align with your budget. You will find starting prices in all our services pages. Contact us to discuss your needs and get a tailored quote.
What experience do you have in the charity sector?
Our founder, Emma Insley, has over three decades of experience working with UK charities as a CEO, Fundraiser, Trustee, Grants Assessor and Consultant. Since 2010, Insley Consulting has supported dozens of charities to increase their impact and secure funding. Find out more about who we have worked with on our Client Stories page.
What is a Theory of Change, and do we need one?
A Theory of Change is an illustration and narrative that defines the change you want to achieve and how your activities contribute to it. It’s a powerful tool for aligning your strategy, improving decision-making, and underpinning impact measurement. We use it as the foundation for any impact and evaluation work (it’s a bit like a hypothesis – we test if the theory is happening in reality).
Can you help us improve our funding applications?
Absolutely. By providing a robust Monitoring & Evaluation plan, credible data, and compelling impact and evaluation reports, we help you build a strong case for support that resonates with funders and increases your chances of securing funding. See our client story about how evaluation planning helped the Better Together secure funding.
How do we get started?
Getting started is simple. Book an initial call or get in touch, where we’ll discuss your needs, challenges, and goals. From there, we’ll recommend the best services to support your charity and provide a clear proposal.
What happens after the project is completed?
Our goal is to equip you with the skills, tools, and confidence to sustain your impact long after our work together. We’re always available for follow-up support and can offer ongoing mentoring and support packages if needed.
